🌳 Inspired by the Wood Wide Web

The inspiration for The Gobo Method came from one of nature's most remarkable discoveries—the Wood Wide Web.

Scientists have discovered that vast underground networks of mycelium connect forests. Through these hidden pathways, trees share water, nutrients and important messages, helping the whole forest survive and grow together.

This idea—that everything is connected—lies at the heart of The Gobo Method.

The Gobo Method follows the same philosophy. Every lesson, story and activity is designed to connect with the next, allowing learners to build confidence naturally, one step at a time.

The magical world of The Great Greenwood grew from this extraordinary idea. While Gobo, the Rootkeepers and the woodland adventures are fictional, they are inspired by the hidden networks that quietly connect forests across our planet.

Sometimes the greatest magic is discovering that nature has been teaching us all along.

Learn English Creatively introduces Stage 1 Foundations, the first learning pathway within The Gobo Method.

As the journey continues, Stage 2 and Stage 3 will expand learners' confidence through new stories, lessons and creative adventures.

Beyond English, future forest pathways will introduce new subjects, inspiring families, teachers and schools to continue exploring, creating and learning together.

About Clare

The Gobo Method was created by Clare Littleton, an anthropologist, teacher, artist, and lifelong traveller.

With a degree in Anthropology, an Advanced Level 5 TEFL Diploma, and experience working across different cultures and countries, Clare combines education, creativity, storytelling, and visual learning to create engaging learning adventures.

Inspired by a lifelong passion for language, art, and imagination, she created The Gobo Method to help learners explore, connect, practise, and create with confidence.
